"A Gritty Spectacular"- New Music Videos From Spoonuel and Chloe Berry

Spoonuel and Chloe Berry are both half-Chinese artists from New York City and create bedroom-pop tunes that are both catchy and unique. Chloe Berry has been songwriting since she was 8 and is also a visual artist, designing all artwork for her and Spoonuel. Spoonuel is a multi-instrumentalist and producer. This year we have two new music videos from the up and coming artists, one a Charlie Chaplin-esque from Spoonuel and the other a gritty spectacular from Chloe Berry.

Spoonuel’s song, “Only Took a While”, is one of those cheerful yet just a bit lonely songs you can already hear playing during a picnic or as I’ve taken to doing, on your walks around your neighborhood. The comical music video of a man desperately searching a deserted city to find his lost and beloved cat emphasizes that loneliness to craft both comedy and depth in the piece.

Chloe Berry’s song, “Something New”, is a what we’re singing at 3am in our bedrooms. In her new music video, with flowers, flashing lights, and a bed that looks far too cozy to leave, Berry captures just a bit of that teenage angst we’re all feeling in quarantine.
